The George Golf Course is a picturesque and beautifully manicured, 18 hole, par 72 golf course with bent greens. The George Golf Course is set in the heart of South Africa's Garden Route in the lovely town of George, which lies about half way between Mossel Bay and Knysna.
The course rating is 70 (club – 5774m) or 72 (championship – 6100m) for men, while the ladies' rating is 72 (5188m).
Visitors are welcome, except on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, as these are reserved for members and group bookings are also not allowed on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Pre-booking is essential at George Golf Club.
Caddies and motorised golf carts can be hired and golf carts must be booked in advance.
The pro-shop offers a range of golfing equipment for sale and golf clubs/trolleys may be hired from the pro-shop.
Golf lessons can be arranged with the golf club's resident golf professional.
The well-appinted clubhouse offers changing rooms for men and women with showers, a halfway house, which offers light meals, a bar and a lounge with a terrace, which has a spectacular view over the course.
Dress Code
Proper golf attire to be worn at all times on the course and in the clubhouse. Only soft spikes allowed. Smart casual -long pants and collared shirt to be worn on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 18h00 in the bar.
