Description

Start with the shark cage dive off Dyer Island, about 15 minutes by boat from Kleinbaai Harbour. The area, known as 'Shark Alley,' is home to over 50,000 Cape Fur seals, attracting great white sharks. Anchored between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, you will take turns in an eight-person floating cage to observe these sharks underwater. When not in the water, watch sharks and other sea life from the boat’s viewing deck. Note that shark sightings cannot be guaranteed, as these are wild animals.

Next, join the Big 5 Sea Safari departing from Gansbaai harbour for a two-hour marine wildlife tour along the cliffs of De Kelders and De Platt Beach. The safari targets Brydes whales, dolphins, seals, penguins, and marine birds. The crew provides informative commentary throughout the journey between Gansbaai and Hermanus. Trips depart at 10 am and 1 pm, depending on weather and passenger numbers.
