Itinerary
Day 1: Travel along Route 62 through the Overberg Region of the Western Cape. Visit the quirky Ronnie’s Sex Shop before continuing to Oudtshoorn, South Africa’s ostrich capital. Explore the Cango Caves National Monument and stay overnight in Oudtshoorn. (Dinner included)
Day 2: After breakfast, visit a local ostrich farm. Head to Knysna for lunch and explore the Knysna Heads. Optional extras include Knysna Elephant Park, where you can interact with elephants, and an ocean safari in Plettenberg Bay to spot dolphins and whales. Stop briefly at Bloukrans Bridge for those interested in bungee jumping. Overnight in Storms River Village. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 3: Visit Tsitsikamma National Park for a hike to the Storms River mouth and walk on the Hanging Bridge, with the option to swim in the Indian Ocean. Continue to Garden Route Game Lodge for a Big 5 sunset game drive, followed by a three-course dinner. Stay overnight in award-winning chalets or lodge rooms. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 4: Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Travel to Hermanus for land-based whale watching (in season) and cliff-side walks. Stop at Stony Point to visit the local penguin colony, then return towards Cape Town with views over False Bay. (Breakfast included)
