Day 1 - Johannesburg to Kruger National Park Depart from Johannesburg at 8:00am and head to Kruger National Park. Check into Kruger Adventure Lodge. Sunset Safari in Kruger National Park commencing at 3pm. See the big 5 and many more animals. 2. Day 2 Kruger National Park to Isimangaliso Wetlands Park After breakfast travel in the Mpumalanga Province from Kruger National Park to Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. Meet the locals. See local villages. Go through many different landscapes. Check into St Lucia Lodge in Isimangaliso Wetlands Park or similar for the night . 3. Day 3 Isimangaliso Wetlands Park to Durban After breakfast go for a Hippo & Croc Boat cruise in St Lucia Estuary Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. Depart to head off to Durban after lunch. Check into the Parade Hotel Durban Beachfront or similar. 4. Day 4 Durban City Tour after breakfast. Tour the (a) Durban Promenade (b) Durban Botanical Gardens (c) Victoria Market Depart from Durban and head off to Drakensberg stoping at Howick Falls and Mandela Capture Site to tour along the way. Check into a hotel in Drakensberg Mountains for the night. 5. Day 5 – Hiking in the Drakensberg Mountains after breakfast. Then depart from Drakensberg mid-day to head to Mthatha. Check into the Savoy & Conference Centre Hotel or similar in Mthatha. 6. Day 6 - After breakfast tour Mandela Museum in Mthatha. Then depart and stop in Mvezo, Mandela birthplace for a tour. Travel to East London & check into hotel for the night. 7. Day 7 – After breakfast depart from East London & head to Addo National Park for a Safari. This is on the Wild Coast Route. Overnight at Kelway Hotel in Port Elizabeth. 8. Day 8 – Start the Garden Route Tour. Depart from Port Elizabeth after breakfast. Head to Bloukrans Bridge. This is the highest bungy jump in the world at 216m (own cost). From Bloukrans Bridge, head to Robberg Nature Reserve (a world heritage site), the most beautiful nature reserve, for hiking. Thereafter brief tour of Plettenberg Bay. Then check into aha The Rex Hotel in Knysna or similar. 9. Day 9 – After breakfast, tour of Knysna Heads and Quays Knysna Waterfront. Sunset cruise in late afternoon (own cost). Overnight at aha The Rex Hotel Knysna or similar. 10. Day 10 – After breakfast, depart from Knysna. First stop in Hermanus. Whale watching (in season). Depart and head to Benguela Wine Estate for wine tasting, 5 different wines. Depart and head to Betty’s Bay to see the endangered African Penguins. Then travel on the Whale Route to Cape Town to conclude the tour at around 6pm. 11. Note that the mentioned hotels will be offered or similar hotels (all bed and breakfast).
