Ristorante Enrico
Gardenroute
Ristorante Enrico with its superb position, delicious and varied menu and a very talented and inspiring Italian owner/chef is a drawcard for the Plettenberg Bay area along the Garden Route.
Enrico and Ornella have run this very popular Plettenberg Bay restaurant since 2004. For many months of the year Ristorante Enrico's guests will even be entertained by schools of dolphins and the odd whale who regularly visit the Garden Route's waters while enjoying the stunning views across the bay to Plett's Robberg beach.
Ristorante Enrico’s slogan ‘any closer and you will get wet’ describes its position right on the water’s edge perfectly. Whether you sit inside or out on the terrace you will enjoy a tasty, relaxed and friendly meal. Enrico is often on hand to welcome and greet guests while never taking his eye off the superb meals being prepared in this Plettenberg Bay restaurant’s kitchen.
The quality of the dishes at Ristorante Enrico is excellent as only the freshest and best ingredients are used to create the unique and delicious dishes. Not many restaurants in Plettenberg Bay or indeed the Garden Route, are fortunate enough to own their own fishing charter business to bring the fresh fish to their door step – this brings a whole new meaning to the term ‘fresh fish!’ The flavours and aromas of the dishes and the great atmosphere at Ristorante Enrico in Plettenberg Bay will make sure you return again and again.
There is a selection of antipasti for starters which includes paper thin slices of kudu or smoked Italian beef (topped with fresh avocado, black pepper, lemon and olive oil)
For first timers to Ristorante Enrico you may like to try Fish Enrico (the freshest linefish baked with wine, olive oil, parsley and garlic.) Other popular dishes are the oxtail, lamb shanks and ravioli ruffiana (handmade pasta rounds with a delicious meat filling and smothered with a tomato, mushroom, cream and a ‘hint of chilli’ sauce.
Enrico perfected the Farcita - the most unique creation with a very light 2 layered Pizza that will delight you. A wonderful variety is available.
For desert try their Tiramisu prepared in true Italian fashion. It is sublime!
There is a TV for guests who do not want to miss their team playing, a fireplace for cold evenings and outside seating for Plettenberg Bay’s many glorious days and evenings. The Garden Route is indeed fortunate to have drawn Enrico and Ornella away from Johannesburg and open Ristorante Enrico in Plettenberg bay.
