Directions to Skydive Mossel Bay
The saying that “Skydivers have more fun than people… “could not be truer when you choose the most heavenly place on earth to skydive from.
Mossel Bay is situated in one of the most beautiful places on the famous Garden Route and is half way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Skydive Mossel Bay is justifiably proud of its reputation of having the most perfect scenic drop zone in South Africa. There are three landing areas - the first is just 5 km from the beach, at the local airfield, the second is at Diaz beach and the third at Santos Beach. The choice will be dependent on the weather, wind and tide. Tandem Skydiving is ideal for beginners as formal training is able to be kept short as your personal tandem master will be totally in control of the freefall and the parachute decent.
Skydivers not only enjoy the delight of a plane trip over the most scenic area of the country but also the thrill of having accomplished what most skydivers articulately describe as ‘indescribable!’
You will need to be informed of certain rules and information to ensure your jump is a safe one! You will be taught what to expect in the airplane, how to hold your body during free-fall, what happens when the parachute opens and you will have the opportunity to discuss the type of decent you would enjoy (gentle and sedate or an adrenalin pumping roller coaster with spins and stalls!)
This information is to ensure your fears are kept to a minimum and your enjoyment to a maximum! To have your tandem master with you gives you a choice of taking full control or just relaxing and having all the work done for you.
The 5 -7 minutes which it takes to get back to terra firma is over +too quickly but the experience will be one that will stay with you for a life time.
There is a variety of courses to choose from – so whether you are a nervous beginner or keen to experience more challenging jumps Skydive Mossel Bay is the perfect company to contact. Please note: The 1st Jump Course requires 7 hours of training and the course runs on selective weekends of the month.

There is a well maintained clubhouse with an excellent restaurant and well stocked bar. The delicious ‘Bonanza Breakfast’ is worth trying. The club house is a good place for relaxing in between jumps.
Some information worth knowing.
