Description

Begin your journey in Cape Town and head east to Betty’s Bay to see African penguins, then continue to Hermanus for whale watching. Enjoy a wine tasting at Benguela Cove followed by an overnight stay at Cape Agulhas, Africa’s southernmost tip.

Day two visits Swellendam and includes a safari at Botlierskop Game Reserve, home to Africa’s Big Five, before an overnight in Mossel Bay. Travel along the Garden Route to Wilderness and Knysna, with a sunset cruise on Knysna Lagoon and a stay in Knysna.

On day four, hike Robberg Nature Reserve and relax on Plettenberg Bay's beaches. Day five offers an optional bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge (own expense) and a tour of Port Elizabeth. Continue along the coast through Port Alfred and East London, with an overnight in East London.

Explore the Wild Coast region including Nelson Mandela’s birthplace in Mvezo and the Mthatha Museum, staying overnight in Mthatha. Day eight features the Mandela Capture Site, Howick Falls, and arrival in Durban. Day nine includes a Durban city tour and a boat cruise in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park to see hippos and crocodiles.
