Description
Day 1: Oudtshoorn
Pickup between 6am and 7am from accommodations in Cape Town or Stellenbosch. Travel approximately 450 km (around 6 hours) via Route 62, passing mountains, curved passes, Karoo plains, vineyards, and orchards. Stop at farm stalls offering local crafts before arriving in Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital.
Explore the Cango Caves with options for a gentle Heritage Tour or a more challenging Adventure Tour through narrow limestone passages. Overnight stay at a 4-star luxury hotel in Oudtshoorn with breakfast included.
Day 2: Tsitsikamma and Elephant Park
Depart Oudtshoorn at 8am, driving approximately 145 km through mountain scenery and towns, including George and Knysna. Optional bungy jump available at the world’s highest commercial bridge (payment in cash). Visit Tsitsikamma National Park and stay overnight at a 4-star hotel in Knysna with breakfast included.
Day 3: Hermanus
Leave Knysna at 8am and travel 152 km along scenic routes past Wilderness and Albertina. Stop at Alcare Aloe Shop for natural skincare products. Optional visit to Elephant Park (payable in cash). Continue to Hermanus for visits to Whale Museums and a walk along the waterfront before returning to Cape Town.
