Description
Day 1: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
Pick-up is between 06:00 and 06:30 from your Cape Town accommodation for a five-hour journey to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich Capital of the Garden Route, with stops for refreshments and rest.
On arrival, take a 1-hour guided Heritage Tour of the ancient Cango Caves. Afterward, a 20-minute drive takes you to Buffelsdrift Game Reserve for an Afternoon Safari and lunch at 13:30.
Following the safari, transfer to Chandelier Game Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Giraffe and Ostrich Encounters, Botlierskop Big 5 Safari
Wake with African wildlife sounds and enjoy breakfast at Chandelier restaurant at approximately 08:00. The morning includes a 30-minute Giraffe Encounter at 09:00 and a 1-hour Ostrich Tour at 10:00. After these activities, check out and depart for Botlierskop Game Reserve.
At Botlierskop, have lunch followed by an engaging 3-hour Big 5 safari starting at 14:00. Expect to see rhinoceros, lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, rare black impala, golden wildebeest, mountain zebra, hippos, and more.
After the afternoon safari, return to Cape Town with an estimated arrival around 21:00. The drive back takes approximately 4 to 4.5 hours.
