Description

Begin with pickup from your hotel in Cape Town, Somerset West, or Stellenbosch and travel approximately 450 km to Botlierskop Game Reserve near Mossel Bay. Upon arrival, join a 3-hour guided game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, spotting wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos in their natural habitat.

After the drive, continue to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world, where you can spend the evening at leisure. Your guide can assist in arranging dinner options, including local specialties like ostrich sosaties (kebabs) and potbrood (bread baked over coals).

Spend the night in Oudtshoorn at accommodation selected based on your package. On day two, start early with a scenic drive to Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve. After breakfast, embark on a 2-hour open-top 4x4 bush drive focusing on the smaller wildlife and unique plant species of the Klein Karoo. Although the reserve does not host the Big Five, it offers valuable insights into the ecosystem.

The journey concludes with a scenic drive along Route 62, South Africa’s longest wine route, returning to Cape Town by evening. Expect the drive back to take 5 to 6 hours depending on stops and traffic.
