The Leisure Island Coffee Shop is a great place to enjoy a bite to eat or an afternoon tea on the beautiful Leisure Island in the Garden Route town of Knysna. As the Leisure Isle Coffee Shop is situated behind the Leisure Island Art Gallery, under two huge Fig trees, it is protected from the wind so while you enjoy your tea or meal you can relax in the lovely garden surroundings of the Leisure Isle Coffee Shop.
After enjoying some time in the Leisure Island Art Gallery and the Leisure Island Antique Shop you can wander through to indulge in a delicious full breakfast, a light lunch or a scrumptious decadent tea! Leisure Isle Coffee Shop is open from 09.00 until the last customer leaves which is at about 17.00 ish, and during December and January we are open until 7.00pm.
All the items on the menu can be ordered as take outs.
The famous Knysna Lourie often visit the trees, and a pair of breeding fork tailed drongas and resident weavers can also be found at the Leisure Isle Coffee Shop, making it a Garden Route paradise for bird lovers.

We also carry basic necessities, i.e. Milk, Bread, Eggs, Sweets/Chocolates, sugar etc. We stock locally made jams and biscuits.
