London 19/01/2011

I am very much excited about my first trip to South Africa's Garden Route and Eastern Cape

Mossel Bay, February 2011

I had a very fun time in the start of the Garden Route Mossel Bay or Mosselbaai as it is also known. I did relax on the great Garden Route beaches and I visited lots of pubs along the Marsh Street in the evening. I wanted to go skydiving and also sandboarding but unfortunately I ran out of time, but the next trip I will allow myself some more days in Mossel Bay!

Oudtshoorn, February 2011

I arrived in Oudtshoorn over the weekend - I drove my car over the very scenic Robinson Pass from Mossel Bay which was very pretty. Oudtshoorn is very much fun and a highlight of the Garden Route. I went to an Ostrich Farm (although I was not brave enough to ride the ostrich a friend of mine did and it was very funny!) I also visited the Cango Caves, this was very interesting as they are very ancient and vast. There is also a Karoo wine route, which I must explore some more!

Knysna, February 2011

After Oudtshoorn I headed further along the Garden Route to the famous town of Knysna, where I am now. I have been up to the old Millwood gold mine this morning and am off to cruise the lagoon this afternoon. Keep the eye out for my photos on FaceBook!
